The Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO) is a UK company limited by guarantee (11959301) incorporated and registered in England and Wales. AoBSO is a UK DfE recognised membership organisation providing support to BSO accredited schools worldwide.

AoBSO may only use or share your personal information for legitimate purposes; these include contract fulfilment, when required by law enforcement agencies to do so, with your consent or when in the legitimate interest of the organisation and our members and to provide them with information that may be of interest to their teachers, leaders and wider school community.

AoBSO holds the details of member schools, leaders within BSO schools and Strategic Partners of the association. We will only use the information required for the efficient execution of support to our members. This information will have been collected through the:

Contact with AoBSO, our Strategic Partners or officers acting on behalf of the association.
On occasion, third parties will provide your information to AoBSO. This includes professional networks, public information sources like LinkedIn, other DfE recognised membership organisations, BSO inspectorates and government departments and agencies such as the DfE and/or Ofsted.
Through our administrative contractor Educational Success Partners, AoBSO uses various online tools to share and/or collect information from members and/or prospective members. These products contain databases which hold your information. These include Survey Monkey, MailChimp, and ClickMeeting.
AoBSO aims to keep members updated about education-related topics, services available to members and our annual leadership conference. These updates are included within the benefits of annual membership. We use your personal information to send you these updates in order to fulfil our contractual obligations with our members.
